Build your TAC-41
The TAC-41 is the conventional-layout answer to the SRS: same Silverback engineering, a full chassis instead of a bullpup shell, and the widest choice of stocks and barrels of anything we sell. Pick a base, then build it with the Stalker parts we develop and test ourselves.
Two complete rifles and a bare chassis. Everything below fits the TAC-41 action unless the part says otherwise — and several parts are specific to the A aluminium chassis or the P/L polymer one, so check which you have.

02Where accuracy starts
The hop-up chamber: pick your system first
Like the SRS, the TAC-41 splits into two hop systems, and the chamber you pick decides which buckings and which inner barrels you can run. Unlike the SRS, Silverback sells you both sides themselves.

Our pick: the Kraken TAC-41 TDC, V2
TDC means top dead centre, and that is the whole argument. On an ordinary chamber the hop pressure comes in slightly off the centre line, so the BB picks up a small sideways component along with the backspin — that is what makes a rifle drift consistently left or right at distance. A true TDC chamber presses straight down through the middle, so the spin is clean and the group is round rather than smeared.
It takes GBB/VSR-style buckings, which is the type most people want on a precision build, and it ships with a cylinder head so you are not hunting for one separately. The V2 revision reworked the wheel section so you can keep using Silverback’s original metal ball click system — on the V1 you gave that up.

Three of them, and they are not the same kind of thing:
Advanced Hop-Up KitNot a chamber — an upgrade kit for the one you have: fine adjustment wheel, reinforced stainless feeder, and a low and a high nub. For bolt-action AEG and GBB.
GBB ChamberThe full GBB-type unit: GBB body, rubber seat, SS304 barrel clip, wheel and collar. For GBB barrels and GBB rubbers.
Stock Hop Up UnitThe factory AEG-type unit. Replacement or spare.
The Advanced Kit is the cheap win if you are otherwise happy: the fine adjustment wheel is the part that turns hop tuning from a guess into something repeatable, and the two nubs let you match the contact patch to your BB weight.
The one thing to rememberGBB chamber (Kraken TDC or Silverback GBB) → VSR/GBB bucking + Dual Bore Hybrid barrel. Stock unit → AEG bucking + Morpheus AEG barrel. Mixing the two is the number one reason a freshly upgraded rifle groups worse than it did before.

03The rubber that touches the BB
Buckings
The bucking is the only part of the rifle that touches the BB, and it has to match the chamber above. These are the same rubbers the SRS uses — the two platforms share this part, which is why the SR hop bucking is sold as an SRS and TAC-41 item.
The Kraken buckings are the VSR/GBB side: Gen 2 concave is the current one, Gen 1 is still stocked for builds set up around it. Concave means the contact patch wraps the BB rather than pressing on a single line, which is what keeps a heavy BB stable at range.
The AEG-side rubbers, sold by durometer: 50, 60, 70 and 80. Softer (lower number) grips more for the same adjustment but deforms sooner under a heavy spring; harder holds up to hot setups and heavy BBs but needs more pressure to bite. At 2.8 J with 0.40 g, start in the 60–70 range.

04Bore and length
Inner barrels
Yes, these are the same barrels as the SRSNot a copy-paste error. The Morpheus Dual Bore Hybrid is cross-platform by design — it runs in AEG, GBB and sniper platforms — so the SRS and the TAC-41 draw from one barrel range. Match the barrel to your chamber, not to the badge on the rifle.

Why SUS304 and not the SUS303 nearly everyone else uses: 303 machines faster because its composition is tuned for exactly that, and it pays for it in corrosion resistance. 304 costs more to cut and lasts longer in a barrel that lives in damp woodland.
And why a dual bore: the rear section is tighter to control the BB right after the hop, then the bore opens up so air pressure is not still fighting the BB on the way out. A single tight bore gives you consistency and drag; a single wide bore gives you speed and wander.
Matching the inner barrel to your outer barrel
The TAC-41 comes in 330, 420 and 510 mm outer barrels, so pick the inner length that suits yours — the inner barrel should finish inside the outer, not poke past it.
The piston is half of the noise your opponent hears. It is not only how much energy it moves, it is how it stops at the end of the stroke.
Stalker Scorpion for the TAC-41
This is the most adjustable part on the page. Piston mass is settable from about 65 to 148 grams, it carries two adjustable airbrakes — an airbrake traps a cushion of air ahead of the piston so it decelerates instead of hammering the cylinder head — and it comes with a spring guide. Silverback’s own claim for it is quieter running and more consistent joules shot to shot.
The one that gets overlooked: it supports an optional short-stroke setup. Shortening the stroke gives you a shorter bolt pull and a faster reload at the cost of some volume — worth it on a rifle you work quickly, and the reason to buy this over a fixed piston.

The factory pistons, in the open
The plain TAC-41 piston is 52 g: 6000-series aluminium body, steel piston end, silent 70° NBR head. The Variable Mass version plays the same mass game as the Scorpion but with a fixed set of parts — four aluminium and four steel counterweights, PTFE grease and the tools in the box. Both are shown here rather than hidden.

06Air system
Cylinders
Two cylinders, and Silverback is refreshingly blunt about the difference.
Both are stainless steel with an external PVD coating — physical vapour deposition of titanium and aluminium nitride, the hard low-friction finish you find on cutting tools. The Twisted one adds a deep fluted pattern, and the manufacturer’s own description says it plainly: “it doesn’t improve performance, but looks amazing”. Buy it because you want it to look like that, not because you expect FPS.

07Energy
Springs, joules and the legal limit
Before you pick a spring: the legal limitIn Spain the ceiling for a sniper replica is 2.8 J. A harder spring is not “better” — it is unusable on a Spanish field, and most fields chrono you at the gate. Check your own country’s limit, and always chrono after touching the spring.
These are 13 mm outer diameter springs, the size shared by the TAC-41, SRS, SSG and VSR — which is why the same range serves all of them. Rapax are hand-made in Europe and their pitch is not only power but running quieter.

The one most people buy, and it ships with a spacer — no two builds are sealed identically, and the spacer is how you land just under the limit instead of over it.

We quote the colour grades rather than exact joule figures on purpose: real energy depends on your cylinder, air seal, barrel and BB weight. Two rifles on the same spring do not chrono the same — and on the TAC-41 the Scorpion piston’s mass setting moves that number too.
Silverback labels by spring force in newtons rather than joules: 90 N, 100 N, 120 N, 150 N, plus the M130 and M150. More newtons means more energy but also a harder bolt pull, more piston slam and more mechanical noise. There is a point where a stronger spring costs you more in stealth than it gains you in range.
The power ring, for fine tuning without a new springA power ring or spacer sits on the spring guide and pre-compresses the spring, lifting energy by a few tenths of a joule. Use it to get from 2.5 to 2.79 J, not to jump a grade. More than about 0.3 J short and the spring itself is the wrong one.

08External
Outer barrels and the carbon extension
Three lengths — 330, 420 and 510 mm — each in three finishes: fluted, twisted and triangular. Plus the plain base barrel. Outer barrel length does not improve accuracy on its own; the inner barrel and the hop do that. What it decides is the silhouette, the weight out front, and what you can thread on the end.
The integrated-suppressor look, and the part you need for it
On a TAC-41 the carbon extension is not a direct fitThe carbon extensions are cut for Silverback’s 24 mm threaded SRS barrels (G-Spec A1/A2 and Sport 16"/20"). To run one on a TAC-41 you go through the Extended Outer Barrel Base below, which gives you the 24 mm CW thread. Buy the base and the extension together or the extension will not mount.
That base was designed for the Lite and Lite Sport versions and the 24 mm suppressor line, for what Silverback calls the “Saboteur” look: CNC 6000-series aluminium, black anodised, 135 g. Once it is on, the carbon extension sleeves over the barrel and continues the line of the rifle instead of hanging a can off the muzzle. Two sizes: 165 mm and the XL at 465 mm, both 30 mm across. 09The foundation
Chassis
The aluminium chassis: ARCA rail underneath, M-LOK down the sides
This is the decision that shapes the rest of the build, because the chassis determines which handguards, rails and stocks fit. There are two families and they are not interchangeable.

The ARCA rail on the A chassis is the one feature worth calling out: it lets you slide the rifle fore and aft on a tripod or a compatible bipod and clamp anywhere, rather than being stuck with one fixed mounting point. If you shoot from a hide or off a tripod, that is the version to want.
The L / P polymer chassis kit is a complete set built around the TAC-41 action assembly. Lighter to carry all day, and the one to pick if you move a lot. There is also a plain polymer stock replacement here if all you need is a spare rear end.

10Ergonomics
Stocks
All three mount through a Picatinny interface, which is what makes them swappable — but two of them belong to a particular chassis family, so read the titles against what you picked above.

If you are getting behind the scope properly, the thing that matters most is the cheek rest height: your eye has to land on the optical axis the moment you shoulder the rifle, every time, without craning. That is what the A2 buys you over the other two. Tool-free adjustment on the Recon is the other side of the same argument — it means you will actually adjust it in the field rather than leave it wrong.

11Mounting
Handguard and rails
Chassis-specific — check before you orderThe A Handguard mounts on the TAC-41 A aluminium chassis. The two front top M-LOK rails attach to the TAC-41 P polymer body. They are not interchangeable.

A full replacement forend for the aluminium chassis: full-length Picatinny on top, 8.5 M-LOK slots each side, 4.5 on each 45° lower face and 4.5 underneath, CNC 6000-series aluminium hard-anodised black, 310 g. The detail that matters in practice: the outer barrel can be removed without taking the handguard off, so changing barrel length is not a full strip.

Front top M-LOK rails for the P chassis
Long (4 nylon lugs) or short (2 lugs), both bolting into the side M-LOK slots of the polymer body. They carry a rubber pad pushed by a set screw to fine-tune vertical alignment and kill the free-float flex — which is the honest admission that a rail hung off a polymer forend can move. Silverback’s own advice, and ours: if you use a bipod, put it on the tripod mount, not on this rail.

12Feeding
Magazines
Short 48 and extended 110 — most people carry both
Two capacities. The 48-round short magazine sits nearly flush and keeps the rifle low when you are prone; the 110-round extended is a double-stack polymer design — fibreglass-reinforced nylon shell over a polycarbonate inner body — with quick disassembly for cleaning, and it comes in black, FDE, green and grey.
110 rounds is a lot for a bolt-action, and that is the point: it is not about volume of fire, it is about not having to top up. The trade-off is a magazine that hangs below the chassis and catches on cover when you go prone. Most people run one long for the walk-in and shorts once they are in position.
Buy more than oneEach card has a quantity selector — set the number before adding to cart. Two or three is the normal load-out, and the colour is chosen on the card.
The bolt knob is pure ergonomics, and on a bolt-action that is not a small thing: it is the part you work between every single shot, usually with a glove on, usually without taking your eye off the scope.
One thread across the whole Silverback rangeEvery knob here is M8×1.25, and the Vauban is listed as fitting SRS, HTI and TAC-41 — which is why the SRS-badged knobs are in this list and genuinely belong here. Pick on weight and grip, not on compatibility.
By weight: the Light knob is the minimum at 20 g, the Vauban is 21 g in fibreglass-reinforced nylon with a steel nut, the Bakelite is 23 g and the original shape, and the Carbon and Grip knobs are the heavy end at 38 g. The Grip one is the interesting one — NBR80 O-rings for grip, and threaded on both sides so you can extend or shorten the bolt handle to suit your reach. On a conventional-layout rifle like the TAC-41 that reach adjustment matters more than it does on a bullpup.

14Optics
Scopes and mounts
Optic and mount are one decision. Get the mount wrong and a good scope will not hold zero, whatever you paid for it.
The two numbers that have to agree are tube diameter (25.4 mm / 1 inch, 30 mm, or 34 mm) and height — enough clearance for the objective bell to clear the rail, and low enough that your cheek weld still puts your eye on the axis. On the TAC-41 that second half is easier than on most rifles, because the A2 and Recon stocks let you raise the cheek rest to meet the scope instead of forcing low rings.
From 1–4× short-dots for close work up to 8–32× for a static hide. For airsoft distances — realistically 60–80 m at 2.8 J — a 3–9× is the honest sweet spot; anything higher is magnifying mirage and wobble more than it is helping you.

15Trigger group
Trigger
Last on the page on purpose. A trigger will not add a metre of range, but it is what stops you pulling the shot off target at the moment of release.
The TAC-41 Match Trigger is CNC 6000-series aluminium, hard anodised, 20 g, riding on two 10×4 bearings with a steel axle. Bearings rather than plain bushings is what gives it a break with no grit in it. Two things adjust: trigger height and trigger angle — so you can set the blade where your finger naturally falls rather than reaching for it, which is the whole point on a rifle you shoot from awkward positions.
