Enhanced Polymer Short Magazine EPM 1-S (170rd - Black)

The PTS EPM1-S magazine for AEG, manufactured using the same technology as our EPM1, is a short 20-round-length M4-style magazine that offers an incredible 170 BB capacity and the same reliability for which all PTS magazines are known. It is compatible with most AR-15 M4 AEG airsoft replicas, including models from Tokyo Marui, KWA, G&P, VFC (including the HK416), PTS PDR-C, the PTS ERG series, PTS Masada AEG, AMOEBA AM variants, and many more. It is available in Black and Dark Earth colors.

About the EPM1

The PTS Enhanced Polymer Magazine ONE, or EPM1, is the most advanced and highest-capacity spring-powered AEG magazine ever produced. Appropriately named EPM1, this magazine marks several “firsts”:

• First collaborative development between PTS and Odin Innovations.

• First spring-powered AEG magazine to rival the capacity of a high-cap magazine.

• First AEG magazine with a “fuel gauge” style window to indicate total or remaining BB load.

• First magazine to achieve high loading capacity and reliable performance at high rates of fire.

External Design

The EPM1 has been significantly redesigned. Like the original EPM and all PTS polymer products, its shell is made from Dupont Zytel® polymer, making it extremely strong and durable. It also retains the continuous magwell guides, reducing snagging when removing or inserting it into pouches or the airsoft gun. Additionally, it features the distinctive EP texture on the shell to improve grip and tactile feel.

The magazine spines have been redesigned with raised ribs for improved grip and allow compatibility with the Magpul Maglink® coupler.

Baseplate

The EPM1 baseplate has also been completely redesigned. Its new sliding insertion system makes it more durable and impact-resistant against drops or accidental detachment. It is also significantly slimmer than the first-generation EPM baseplate, making storage and transport easier.

The base is angled to serve as a monopod during supported shooting. As with previous versions, it includes a dot matrix for magazine identification. The ribbed front edge is now integrated directly into the magazine body, making it easier to extract from magazine pouches or tactical vests.

Enhanced Follower

The new enhanced follower is the result of collaboration with Deranged Designs. This design concentrates spring pressure directly onto the BB stack, preventing lateral pressure or contact against the internal channel walls. This significantly improves BB feeding speed and consistency, while preventing jams caused by BB misalignment.

Load Indicator (“Fuel Gauge”)

The most innovative and visible feature of the EPM1 is its load indicator window. Thanks to the unique orange indicator, you can immediately tell whether the magazine is full, partially loaded, or empty.
When fully loaded, the indicator appears at the top of the window. As you fire, the indicator moves downward until it reaches the bottom, indicating that the magazine is empty.
