MDRX HPA dwell setup
Optional HPA platform only — never treat this as stock AEG maintenance.
Safety and limits. Wear eye protection. Connect air/battery only for controlled function and chronograph checks; disconnect both before service. Silverback recommends a maximum of 8 bar / 116 psi. Chronograph with the BB weight used and comply with local limits.
Chronograph-led procedure
- Start point (00:14): use the factory value shown below. The correct dwell depends on regulator pressure.
- Set energy first: load your game BBs, set hop-up minimum, and chronograph. The video begins at 5.5 bar / 80 psi.
- Do not exceed 8 bar / 116 psi: if more energy is needed, select a less restricted nozzle rather than increasing pressure beyond the recommendation.
- Empty the feed tube (02:22). Enter programming, select dwell with two trigger pulls, and validate using SINGLE → FULL → SINGLE.
- Reduce progressively and test: after each decrease, test single and full-auto and chronograph. If function, energy, or consistency drops, increase dwell by 0.5 ms and re-test.

FAQ
What is the initial dwell?
The official video states 12 ms.
Why respect the 8 bar pressure ceiling?
Use the verified maximum below; choose a less restricted nozzle for a different range and re-chrono legally.
