Sionyx Aurora Black Digital Night Vision Camera

The SiOnyx Aurora BLACK is the first night vision camera on the market that allows you to see vivid daytime colors at night. The Aurora Black has been developed as a low-cost tactical night vision optic, featuring full-color night vision and unmatched light output. It is the first model in the Aurora series certified for heavy impacts and recoil.

The Aurora Black is capable of displaying color images during the day, at dusk, and at night. This is projected onto a full-color OLED display. In addition, color night vision provides a much more natural reproduction, as this is how the same environment appears during the day. This completely transforms your visual experience compared to classic green or black-and-white night vision.

You can also choose to project the environment in grayscale. This allows you to create even greater contrast, for example, to read text more easily. The camera has a 0.5x optical magnification, which can be increased up to 3x with digital zoom. The standard 0.5x magnification ensures you see a larger portion of your surroundings and effectively "zoom out."

Photo and Video to Your Preference
The camera allows you to take photos according to your own preferences. For example, you can set the shutter speed from 1.5 s to 1/8000 s, as well as adjust the video frame rate up to 60 fps for HD recordings. You can also select multiple recording modes, such as HDR, self-timer, time-lapse, panorama, and burst mode. The built-in EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) compensates for camera movement and corrects blur. You can store your recordings on the included 32 GB microSD card.

Streaming and Remote Control
All SiOnyx cameras can be connected to an Apple or Android device (phone or tablet) via Wi-Fi. Once you install the free SiOnyx Aurora app, you can remotely control the night vision camera, stream live images, and capture/share recordings. If you wish to operate the SiOnyx remotely, you can mount it on any standard tripod using the 1/4" threaded connection (see optional accessories).

The Aurora Black is primarily suitable for the semi-professional user who wants to quickly switch between night vision and their natural vision. This makes the camera extremely suitable as an accessory for airsoft, hunting, or wildlife observation, for example. You can use the camera handheld or attach it to a helmet or goggle kit, and you can also operate it remotely and stream live images to your smartphone or tablet. You can use the camera in any situation where some type of residual light is present. At night, this only requires minimal moonlight. If you need visibility even when there is no residual light, an optional infrared illuminator is available. During the day and at dusk, you can use the supported scene modes. Since the camera is also recoil-rated, you can mount the Aurora Black to a weapon (via the optional Picatinny rail mount).

How Do the Internal Components Work?

Using patented ultra-low light sensor technology, the CMOS sensor is capable of processing the nighttime environment in color. The Aurora devices can "see" infrared wavelengths above 1100 nm. With this technology, SiOnyx sets itself apart from all other digital and analog night vision devices on the market. These components also provide unmatched light output, making an infrared illuminator no longer necessary.
