MDR-X Barrel removal

Remove the barrel assembly for barrel, nub, hop-rubber or inner-barrel service.

Before you start

Safety, tools and revision

Safety. Disconnect the battery, wear eye protection and unload the replica. Follow local law; chronograph after any change that can affect energy.
Revision. Legacy MDR-X V1/V2 video. V3 documents show separate 16-inch and Micron barrel/hop assemblies; identify the V3 assembly before work.
