Open the rear assembly
Drive out both pins, remove the handguard and stock, and expose the sear adjustment area.
Create the initial clearance
Back the adjustment screw out until its head no longer contacts the piston sear. Leave the tiny gap shown in the official close-up.
Reassemble for the first test
Install the stock with the selector on FIRE, refit the handguard and insert the long front and short rear pins by hand.
Check trigger group and safety
Before any fine adjustment, verify reliable piston catch, trigger release and correct safety operation.
Prepare the fine trigger-weight adjustment
Repeat the disassembly. With no magazine and an empty hop-up, cock the VKS in a safe direction.
Find the release point
Turn the adjustment screw in slowly until the VKS releases. Keep the muzzle on a safe backstop throughout.
Back out exactly two turns
From the release point, unscrew the adjustment screw by two complete turns. Do not chase a lighter setting beyond this official reference.
Repeat every safety check
Reassemble and confirm piston catch, trigger operation and safety several times. Any inconsistency requires more sear engagement, not field use.
