Due to its great success, we can now offer the Scorpion Piston SRS Plug and Play Edition. This edition is a prebuilt Scorpion Piston, assembled at 100 grams with an adjustable airbrake to upgrade your SRS.

This edition will make your SRS quieter, provide smoother piston movement, and improve FPS consistency.

At 100 grams, this piston works perfectly with inner barrels from 310 mm to 510 mm. You will not need to adjust the piston weight if you are shooting between 2 and 3 joules with these barrels. For higher or lower joule outputs, or shorter or longer inner barrels, we suggest getting the Ultimate Edition for greater adjustability.

The difference between this version and the Ultimate Edition is that the Ultimate Edition offers greater weight adjustability (both higher and lower) and includes additional weights and an airbrake. However, this version comes at a lower price and features the ideal weight for most setups.

An additional piston cup is included: the High Joule piston cup (gloss finish). This cup is the best solution to keep your SRS quiet while running a high-joule setup with a low-tension, light-pull spring.

Use a drop of lubricant on the edge of the cup for perfect results. We recommend motor oil, silicone grease, or similar.

The piston comes with 1 short 3.80 mm airbrake (optimal for 2J and 3J~ builds or higher).

Golden installation rules

• Always apply a drop of oil or silicone grease to the edge of the cup to achieve optimal joules.
• For 2.3J setups, we recommend starting with the short airbrake and fully unscrewing it.
• For 2.8J+ setups, we recommend starting with the short airbrake and fully screwing it in.
  Always set your hop-up correctly for your desired BB weight and adjust it to shoot straight.
• Higher joule = shorter airbrake.
• Lower joule = longer airbrake.
• Airbrake adjustment: start low, then gradually increase (unscrew it) each time until the setup becomes quiet.
• When you start losing joules, you know you have just passed the perfect airbrake position. Then slightly screw the airbrake back in to regain joules and achieve the quietest setup.

Proper setups require adjustable airbrakes because many components in your rifle can affect piston acceleration speed: piston weight, spring power, bucking hardness, barrel length, etc. We also recommend purchasing spring guide spacers to fine-tune piston weight and spring joule output.

The Scorpion Piston is a unique concept in which 6 weights form the piston body itself. Since the piston is made up of these weights, it is also possible to extend it with additional weights (short-stroke configuration), which reduces cylinder volume and joule output, but significantly shortens the bolt pull of your SRS with each added weight. The reduced joule output can be compensated with a stronger spring or the High Joule cup.
